Small business web design, anywhere in the UK
We are a two-person studio based in the UK, and we work remotely. You get the same people, the same fixed price and the same care whether you are in Cornwall or Caithness.
Where we are
FloatWeb is based in the UK and has no public office. We work from home and meet clients over video calls, which keeps our prices down and means we are not limited to one town. We will not pretend to have offices in places we do not.
How remote work runs
- A 30 minute video call to start. You tell us what the business needs; we tell you honestly whether we are the right fit.
- A written quote within a few days. Fixed price, page list and launch date. Nothing starts until you agree all three.
- A live preview link. It updates as we build, so you can check progress from your phone whenever you like.
- Weekly check-ins. By call or email, whichever suits you. Replies within one working day.
Built for UK rules
Every build comes with privacy and cookie notice pages written for UK GDPR. Where a site uses analytics or advertising cookies, PECR requires consent before they are set, and we build that in. We wrote up what a UK business website legally needs in plain English.
Prices are in pounds, published on our price list, and the contract is under the law of England and Wales.
Local search, even though we are remote
You do not need a local web designer to rank locally. What matters to Google is your business: your Google Business Profile, pages for the places you serve, and your name, address and phone number matching everywhere. That is the work we do for clients wherever they are; see SEO for small businesses.

Larchmere Garden StudiosDesign showcase for an invented garden room maker: build and price a room in 3D, then send the spec as an enquiry.
Questions people ask us
Do you ever meet in person?
Not usually. Everything from the first call to handover works over video and email, and most clients prefer it because it fits around their day.
Do you work with businesses outside England?
Yes. We work with businesses anywhere in the UK, and with clients in Europe and the US.
How do I pay?
In stages: a deposit to book and the rest at agreed points up to launch. The stages are set out in your quote.
