The short answer

With us, a small business website designed from scratch costs from $6,000, and most land between $6,000 and $10,000. That covers a site people can find, trust and get in touch through, with an editor for the parts you change.

A site built to bring in work, with a page for each service, a blog and forms into your CRM, starts at $11,000. A Shopify shop starts at $9,500. Web apps, portals and booking systems start at $20,000, priced after a paid discovery sprint.

After launch, hosting and care cost $95 to $375 a month, or nothing if you look after the site yourself. You own the site and its code once the final invoice is paid.

What changes the price

We price by what the site has to do, not by how many pages it has. These are the things that move the figure most.

  • What the site has to achieve. A site that people check before they call is a smaller job than one that has to win work from search, with a page for each service and a plan for each page.
  • Who writes the words. Copy you supply costs nothing extra. Copy we write is priced on its own, and waiting for copy is the most common reason a launch slips.
  • What has to connect. Booking, payments, a CRM or a newsletter each add work. A custom link to another system is quoted after we have seen it.
  • Moving an old site. Bringing old pages across with a redirect for each one keeps the search traffic you already have. Skip it and old links break.
  • Looking after it. Hosting, backups and updates are a monthly cost whoever builds the site. Ask any studio what that costs before you compare build prices.

What other studios charge

When we are the wrong choice

If your budget is well under our starting price, a website builder or a small template studio will serve you better than we can, and we will tell you so on the first call. The same goes if a Google Business Profile and a good page on social media would do the job: you may not need a website yet.

We are a good fit when the site has to bring in work, when you want the people writing the code to answer your emails, and when you want to own what you paid for.

How we set these prices

In October 2026 we read the published price lists of UK studios that put their prices on their websites and the cost guides listed with the ranges, then set ours against what each package includes. Our prices are for the outcome, not a page count, so the home page, contact page, policy pages and the rest of the list above come with every build.

Dollar prices are set separately, at about 1.3 times the pound figure. We do not convert at the exchange rate, so a rate swing does not change your quote. We check the list every quarter and change the date at the top when we do.

Every figure on this page comes from the same price list as our pricing section, our quotes and our contracts.
